Whether you're planning a weekend escape, a family vacation, or simply looking for something new to do around Lake Geneva, there's plenty to look forward to.

Meet Skip Harless

Skip has spent decades in the hospitality industry and returned to Grand Geneva over four years ago as Managing Director. After working at resorts across the country, he says the opportunity to lead Grand Geneva was one he couldn't pass up.

His passion for hospitality is clear. From the moment guests arrive, the goal is simple: create memorable moments that keep families coming back.

Introducing the New Wee Nip Short Course

One of the biggest additions this year is the Wee Nip Short Course.

This fun, 11 hole golf course is designed for everyone, from experienced golfers to first timers. With holes averaging around 90 yards, a relaxed atmosphere, and no pressure to keep score, it's an easy way for families and friends to spend time together.

The course also features a central gathering area with food, drinks, fire pits, and live music, making it just as enjoyable for spectators as it is for golfers.

More Than Just Golf

Grand Geneva offers something for just about everyone.

Guests can enjoy:

  • The Brute and Highlands golf courses
  • The WELL Spa + Salon
  • Horseback riding at the Dan Patch Stables
  • Mountain biking and hiking trails
  • Outdoor dining
  • Family activities and Adventure Center games
  • Swimming pools and relaxing outdoor spaces

Skip also encourages visitors to explore everything the Lake Geneva area has to offer, including shopping downtown, walking the historic Shore Path, and spending time on Geneva Lake.

Sunday Fireworks and Summer Events

One of Grand Geneva's most popular summer traditions is Start Your Week with a Bang every Sunday evening.

The celebration includes outdoor dining, glow putting, family activities, and fireworks that are open to both resort guests and the public.

Skip also shared details about Fourth of July weekend, including family activities at the resort and the community drone show hosted by Visit Lake Geneva.

A New Summer Pop Up

Another exciting addition this summer is the 1776 Tavern, a patriotic themed pop up located inside the resort.

Open throughout July, the tavern features festive decorations, themed cocktails, and a fun atmosphere celebrating America's 250th anniversary.

What Makes Grand Geneva Special?

While the resort continues to add new attractions every year, Skip believes the biggest reason guests return is the people.

Exceptional service, genuine hospitality, and creating personal connections are what turn first time visitors into lifelong guests.

It's a philosophy we share at Jerry's Majestic Marine. Whether you're staying at a resort or spending a day on the water, it's the people behind the experience who make the difference.
